Today, Deb reads more than 40 books every year. Her life proves what she believes: readers become leaders.

Now, she’s ready to bring that vision to Pottstown schools.

Pottstown’s children deserve strong schools, safe classrooms, and literacy programs that prepare them for life.

Our teachers are doing their best, but they can’t do it alone. They need resources, support, and leadership that listens.

Communities like Steubenville, Ohio, invested in literacy and raised their high school reading rates dramatically.

If they can do it, so can Pottstown. Together, we can build a district where every child becomes a confident reader and future leader

I know what it feels like to start with nothing. At one point in my life, I was homeless — but books saved me.

Every page I turned gave me hope, direction, and the belief that a better future was possible.

Today, I read over 40 books a year and lead with that same spirit.

My story proves that readers become leaders — and I am proud to be a role model for Pottstown.
